Access Health & Community (formerly ​Manningham Community Health Services)

A free and confidential drug and alcohol counselling service is provided at Manningham Community Health Services. They welcome people with co-occurring substance use, mental health issues and other concerns. It can be difficult to ask for help.  The program works with both adults and young people with families affected by drug and alcohol use and with school and community groups.​ They also run a Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) provides clean needles, syringes, condoms and health advice for anyone in the community. Sharps safes for the safe disposal of used injecting equipment are also available.

EACH - Needle and Syringe Program

The Needle and Syringe Program is a strategy for increasing needle and syringe availability to injecting drug users, and minimising the transmission of blood-borne viruses such as HIV, and hepatitis B and C. The NSP operates as a harm minimisation strategy. Harm minimisation is a concept that acknowledges that people may engage in risky activities, and seeks to reduce the harm associated with those activities.​

Maroondah Addictions Recovery Project (MARP)

MARP is a voluntary, community based program, which provides residential based treatment for over 18's who have found drugs and alcohol a problem in their lives. MARP offers programs for people who are willing to undertake a journey of personal growth and seek a lifestyle other than that of alcoholism or addiction.
